THE YEAR OF THE HEAVY RAIN

I Kings 18:45

Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain…

The word of the Lord for the PPK Tribe Network (all the people who are part of this network) for 2013.

THIS IS THE YEAR OF THE HEAVY RAIN. In all the PPK Tribe, we are going to see the Lord giving the heavy rain. The former and latter rain in season.

1. 1.       THE RAIN WAS THE RESULT OF PRAYER

The Lord will answer our prayers this year. This will be the time and season of answered prayers

As we begin to pray, the Lord will answer our prayers. As we call unto Him, he will hears. There will be open heaven. Our prayers will not hit the roof and come back to us. Our prayers will not be hindered. The Lord is ready to answer our prayers.

The heavy rain that is coming will be the result of PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS and PRAYERS. All our sons and daughters will begin to experience the dimension of answered prayers.

1. 2.       IN MEANTIME…

After Elijah prayed seven times, all of a sudden things changed. There is going to be miracles that happen all of a sudden in our lives.

All PPK Tribe churches will experience SUDDEN GROWTH. PPK Tribe will experience a sudden positive change in the atmosphere and environment that they are planted in. The atmosphere over our cities will change suddenly as the result of incense of prayer that is going up in the heavens.

Prophetic prayers will invoke the SUDDENLIES of God. In a little while, miracles will break out.

A few minutes later after Elijah prayed, things begin to happen. The Lord said that within short space of time, things that we are expecting will begin to happen. In no time we will see God moving. Things are going to happen fast.

1. 3.       THE WIND FACTOR

The wind is to expedite the coming rain. Wind of acceleration is here. There is coming a wind from God to cause change to happen faster.

There will be the wind from God that is meant to drive faster what God is doing in our lives. What heavens are pregnant with will be accelerated in the windy pace to cause it to happen faster. There is divine acceleration coming upon this network. The wind expedites the process. It pulls the rain in the direction and place where it is needed. The rain did not just come magically

Proverbs 25:23

The north wind brings forth rain…

The wind which blows over warm oceans and seas collect moisture. These winds bring rain whereas wind blowing from land brings no rain.

1. 4.       RAIN REPRESENTS THE HOLY SPIRIT

Isaiah 44:3

3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;

Rain talks of the Holy Spirit. We will see our meetings experiencing the heavy rain of the Holy Spirit. There is coming the abundant move of the Holy Spirit in our cities.

Jeremiah 5:24

They do not say in their heart, “Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season. He reserves for us the appointed weeks of the harvest.”

Daniel 11:29

 “At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter.

Hosea 6:3

Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

Joel 2:23

Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the Lord your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you— The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month.

1. 5.       RAIN BRINGS THE PROVISIONS AND BLESSING

Deuteronomy 11

13 ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. 15 And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’ 16 “Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them, 17 lest the Lord’s anger be aroused against you, and He shut up the heavens so that there be no rain, and the land yield no produce, and you perish quickly from the good land which the Lord is giving you.

God is beginning to rain for us blessing. Rain talks of blessing. When we see the rain, we know that the Lord had remembered us and he is showering us with blessings. In the year 2013, we will see our sons and daughters walking in the level of blessing like they had never experienced. There will be testimonies of what this heavy rain of blessing will bring in our lives.

1. 6.       RAIN BRINGS THE REVIVAL OF THE ECONOMIC SYSTEM

During the bible days, Israel was the agricultural nation. One of the things that boosts their economy is the continuous flow of rain.

If the rain does not come, the economy suffers. The rain that is coming in our lives will revive our dead financial life. The rain will cause restoration to take place in the area of economics.

Deuteronomy 11:10 – 17

10 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; 11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.13 ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. 15 And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.’

This coming heavy rain will cause our spiritual territory to be very fertile. Our hearts will be made ready to receive downloads of God.

This coming rain will make us gather grain, wine and oil. The heavy rain will cause harvest of souls in the PPK Tribe churches.

This coming rain will cause grass to grow for our livestock. This reveals to us that rain causes our economy to thrive. God is going to give us what causes our economy to thrive.

1. 7.       RAIN REPRESENTS SOMETHING REFRESHING AND DELIGHTFUL  

Psalm 68:9

You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary.

The times of refreshing are here. Times of soaking in God’s presence are here. We will be dancing in the rain of the Holy Spirit.

1. 8.       LACK OF RAIN IS A CURSE

When we don’t see the rain in the time that it is supposed to rain, we must know that it is the sign of a curse. When the things that are normal begin to be scarce then we must know that we are operating under the curse.

I Kings 8:35

“When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against You, when they pray toward this place and confess Your name, and turn from their sin because You afflict them,

I Kings 17:1

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.”

The drought is over. The famine is over. The things that could not happen in the last three and half years will happen this year. The Lord will remove drought and famine in our lives.

1. 9.       RAIN INFLUENCES THE SOWING AND REAPING

Seedtime and harvest time depend on the soil and rain. The Principle of sowing and reaping depend on the RAIN. When the Lord begin to send the rain, the rain will make application of the principle easy.

Rain will give us the environment that is conducive to apply kingdom principles. As the Lord send us rain, we will be obedient and begin to apply the kingdom principles.
